This coming Saturday, the Coalition for Secure Retirement (of which MEA is a part) is holding an organizing event from 10am until noon at the Brookside Methodist Church in Jackson, MI. I will be in attendance. A portion of the program focuses on Senator Pavlov's PA 102, a bill which will eventually end the funding of the MPSERS retirement system (creating a massive unfunded liability and the need for either tax increases or reductions in benefits) by moving all future employees into a defined contribution system.
