In September, thousands of Dreamers and DACAmented educators had their lives thrown into turmoil when President Trump decided to end DACA.
NEA issued an urgent call to action to support and protect our friends, fellow teachers, and students. We asked supporters and members to send postcards to Congress, demanding they pass the Dream Act themselves. Since our campaign began, over 13,000 postcards and counting have been sent, but we have to keep the pressure on.
So we’ve issued a new challenge: to send 20,000 postcards to Congress, one for each of the educators impacted by DACA’s end. Add yours to help us reach our goal. And hurry, because we deliver the postcards to Congress soon.

If Congress doesn’t pass a clean Dream Act, the impact would be devastating.
DACAmented educators, who are living their dreams of teaching the next generation, may have to leave their classrooms for good.
Dreamer students, who could be our next generation of doctors, scientists, social workers, or educators, would lose their opportunity to learn and face an uncertain and scary future for themselves, and their families.
Congress can put an end to this, but they need to hear from us. Every postcard sent is a clear message to our elected officials that their constituents demand they stand up for students and educators everywhere.
Make your voice heard today. Send a postcard to Congress in support of passing the Dream Act.
Thank you,
National Education Association
